EDMOND - Several cadets and Senior members from Civil Air Patrol's Edmond Composite Squadron fulfilled the requirements necessary to promote to new rank and grade. For some there was a significant amount of academics alongside physical fitness testing, aerospace knowledge testing and drill evaluation. For others it was a combination of Civil Air Patrol's recognition of career achievements along with professional development courses meant for the member to grow within the organization's culture. Edmond Composite Squadron Commander Lt.Col. Raul Gonzalez said "It is so great to see these men and women working hard to further their path within Civil Air Patrol." The individuals that were promoted included:

Trey Turner to Captain

Greg Parrot to Captain

Chandler Morgan to Cadet Chief Master Sergeant

Jacob Pierce to Cadet Chief Master Sergeant

Jacob Jennigs to Cadet Staff Sergeant
In addition, as part of Civil Air Patrol's Cadet Programs, cadets who maintain a 3.0 GPA during a semester are awarded the Gold Academic Achievement Cord once their grades have been reviewed. For the Spring Semester Cadet Airman Caleb Ritchie was given this honor for maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA. Lt.Col. Gonzalez went on to say, "They work so hard on all three of our vital missions and put in countless man hours volunteering their time to further their development and I'm glad to see we are able to reward such hard work."
